SETTING & LOCATION
Forrester Park is the perfect venue for your wedding reception. The traditional-style country house is based around a 16th century Essex barn and set in beautiful undulating Essex countryside. It is also licenced for civil ceremonies.
The attractive gardens, with patio and lawns, make an ideal backdrop for beautiful photographs.
Forrester Park wedding venue is situated within easy reach of Maldon, Tiptree and Witham, and is ten minutes drive from the A12, between Chelmsford and Colchester. There is ample parking.
THE VENUE
Forrester Park Golf and Country Club is licenced for weddings and civil ceremonies and has several different areas for your wedding celebrations. Forresters Suite comprises a function room, fully-licenced bar and cloakrooms and is ideal for a Wedding Breakfast or Evening Buffet. The Suite can accommodate up to 120 people for a sit down meal, but is equally appropriate for more intimate weddings. We offer several inclusive packages, or are equally happy to tailor the day exactly as you wish.
The Clubroom, with its lofty ceilinged main area and cosy beamed bar, can be used in conjunction with the Forresters Suite or in its own right. There is access through French doors to the garden and marquee area.
YOUR WEDDING DAY
You may wish to choose one of our popular wedding packages, which include arrival drinks, three-course wedding breakfast, wine and an evening buffet - click for a sample package. Alternatively, you may already have your own format in mind.
Whether it is waitress served dining, a buffet style event, or perhaps a barbecue or even a hog roast - we are here to run the day exactly as you want it to be. Our wedding co-ordinator, Katie Jacobs, is ready and waiting to discuss your choice of menus and drinks, together with format of your wedding day.
PLANNING YOUR WEDDING
Forrester Park has been organising wedding receptions for over 30 years, and our experienced staff are on hand to help you with any aspect of your day. Our charges include table linen, crockery, cutlery, glassware and all staffing costs. We are very happy to organise any aspect of your day, such as:
- Master of Ceremonies / Toastmaster
- Decorations, flowers, table centres, cake stand and knife
- Bouquets or gifts for special guests
- Disco, band, string quartet etc
- Taxis, vintage cars
- Champagne served with the speeches
- Bouncy castle, children's entertainers, creche facilities
- Local accommodation
- Presentation aids
