Golf Coaching

Forrester Park Golf Club offers golf coaching at all levels, from complete beginner to expert; you do not have to be a member of the club take part. We have two coaches, either of whom will be happy to discuss golf lessons with you and organise coaching to suit your requirements. JUNIOR GOLF LESSONS

Golf coaching, golf lessons, Maldon, Tiptree, Essex Forrester Park Golf Club runs golf coaching for children every Saturday and during half-term and summer holidays. The sessions are fun and enjoyable and cover all aspects of the game.

Our next holiday courses will be in the June half-term and during the summer holidays. Some courses run over several days, with a mini tournament on the last day, others are shorter, so that you can choose whatever suits your child best. Beginners are welcome, and clubs can be organised if needed. Refreshments are included, and parents are welcome to use the clubhouse for coffee or lunch while their child is enjoying their golf.

OUR COACHES

Craig Lockwood is Head Professional and Manager of Golf at Forrester Park. He has been a professional for five years and encourages the development of junior participation through coaching sessions. He also works with all abilities of players from beginners to advanced. He has a strong passion for the game of golf, and competes at national professional levels playing in various tour events on the Jamega, Euro Pro and PGA regional tours.

Craig is available for lessons to members and non members - please do not hesitate to contact him with any queries regarding your golf game. Every Saturday and during the school holidays he runs coaching sessions for juniors , as well as adult beginner coaching on Saturdays. Gary Pike is a PGA Advanced Professional whose golf academy is based at Forrester Park. He has over 31 years of coaching experience and is a David Leadbetter trained instructor. Gary is coach to Walker Cup player Dale Whitnell, and is currently the Essex County Senior Coach. He has published over 100 articles on the golf swing. Novice Golfer Package

Our Novice Golfer Package offers a unique blend of lessons and membership. It includes six one-to-one 30 minute golf lessons with a golf professional, plus talks on rules, etiquette and enjoying it all; use of the practise ground, practice green and par 3 loop; social membership of Forrester Park for three months; and Off-Peak golf membership which starts when you are ready to go on the course.
